A complex maze of settings and low level components would be an accurate definition for the Windows Registry. If you are looking for a particular file, you will spend a long time navigating through numerous folders and sub-folders. Registry Finder can locate specific pieces of data in the entire registry, in just a few seconds. It does not replace the standard registry editor, but you can use it in conjunction with RegEdit, to make your work easier.

The application can be installed almost instantly, on any Windows version. You don't have to install any additional services or other prerequisite tools. Although Registry Finder is not free, you can try it for 30 days, without encountering any restricted functions.

You can use keywords to search for data, keys or values, in one or more root folders, within the Windows Registry. You can type your keyword and select one of these parameters on the left side of the interface. The results are listed in the larger area on the right, where you can also view general details about the selected items.

The RegEdit option, located on a toolbar, can be used to open selected items in the Windows Registry. It will take you directly to the desired piece of data, so you won't have to navigate through countless folders. It is also possible to bookmark files and folders, which eliminates the need to search for specific items more than once.

Pros

It takes only a few seconds to locate data in the Windows Registry. You can filter the searching process according to your own needs. The software can also take you directly to a file or folder, in the standard registry editor.

Cons

There are no clear drawbacks to mention. With Registry Finder, you can locate any registry data in less than a minute and make it easier to find, for future searches.
